Promoting research and funding seed grants to support innovative scientific investigations that can lead to new treatments and cures for glaucoma are The Foundation’s priorities. Specifically, The Glaucoma Foundation funds research into optic nerve rescue and restoration and the molecular genetics of glaucoma – two key areas in the pursuit of improved treatments. We suggest you browse our Research Center where information about ongoing research The Foundation has funded. You’ll also find reports on significant scientific findings that may lead to improved treatment options in the future. Our international Grant-in-Aid Program awards seed money to researchers seeking to advance new scientific findings that will further our understanding of glaucoma. The Foundation specifically investigations into optic nerve rescue and restoration and the molecular genetics of glaucoma – two of the most important areas of glaucoma research. Application deadlines are on March 1 and September of each year.
