Scott R. Christensen joined The Glaucoma Foundation as its Vice President for Foundation Advancement in August, 2001. He was elevated to President and Chief Executive Officer effective May 1, 2002.
After spending 25 years in finance, banking and real estate, including a term as President and CEO of a financial institution, he moved into the not-for-profit sector. Prior to being a part of The Glaucoma Foundation team, he served in senior positions in management, development and fundraising at Colgate University, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and New York Medical College. He holds a B.A. in English from Colgate University and an M.B.A. in Finance from Seton Hall University.
He is excited about and committed to the multi-pronged mission of this organization that has been moving so successfully and progressively forward. He believes the future of The Glaucoma Foundation to be extremely bright and its potential limitless.
