SUMMARY:Webinar - Dispelling the Myths of Glaucoma Surgery: What Each Patient Needs to Know
DESCRIPTION:Glaucoma surgery is an ever-expanding field\, with new procedures and devices available now\, with additional options on the horizon. However\, not all procedures are appropriate for each patient and the expansive treatment paradigm can be overwhelming for patients. Dr. Misra will discuss the range of surgical options for glaucoma patients\, from procedural pharmaceuticals\, laser treatments\, and minimally invasive glaucoma procedures to traditional filtering surgery. We will debunk certain myths about glaucoma surgery and discuss what each surgery entails\, from how to prepare and what to expect\, to recovery times and restrictions\, so that patients may better understand the options recommended by their provider. \n \n
