We discuss low vision rehabilitation\, what to expect during a low vision exam\, how it differs from a regular eye exam\, low vision devices and updates in technology. \nDr. Delaram Shirazian earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and went on to complete a residency in Ocular Disease and Low Vision Rehabilitation at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. \nDr. Shirazian is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at SUNY College of Optometry\, working with patients and students in primary care and low vision rehabilitation clinics. She also teaches the patient-doctor communication portion of the first-year curriculum and is the instructor of record of the Low Vision/Ocular Disease Micro-Credential program. Dr. Shirazian is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou can find additional low vision resources in our Patient Resource Center.
